South East social enterprises win top awards
Congratulations to The Phone Co-op (based in Oxfordshire) for taking the Best Social Enterprise Award and Sunlight Social Enterprises CIC (based in Kent) for receiving the Best New Social Enterprise Award at the national Enterprising Solutions Awards (ESA) on 20 October. Other regional social enterprises shortlisted for awards were BioRegional Charcoal Company Ltd and Central Surrey Health Ltd. The ESA are designed to find and reward the UK's most dynamic and innovative social enterprises - businesses that are set up to tackle a social or environmental need.

Social Enterprise Day visits
Business Link, Social Enterprise South East and local social enterprise networks in Surrey, Brighton & Hove and Hampshire will celebrate Social Enterprise Day on Thursday, 20 November by supporting a programme of open visits to social enterprises in the South East region. The programme is sponsored by Office of the Third Sector.

Surrey Network for Social Enterprise, The Brighton & Hove Business Community Partnership and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Social Enterprise Network are taking part in the programme and have organised visits for Thursday, 20 November to successful social enterprises in their respective areas.
